How to change wireless channel on my TP-Link wireless ADSL2+ modem router

This Article Applies to: 

Wireless modem routers use the auto wireless channel that changes from time to time, sometimes it would be better to set a static channel for better wireless performance.

 
Step 1
Open the web browser and type the IP address of the device in the address bar (default is 192.168.1.1). Press Enter.
 
Step 2
Type the username and password in the login page, the default username and password both are admin and thenclick OK to login the web page.
 
Step 3
For TD-W8950ND/TD-W8968/TD-VG3631:
Click on Wireless->Basic on the left, change the Channel from Auto to a static one, such as 1, 6 or 11, and then Apply/Save.
For some modems, after you save the settings, it will ask you to reboot the device. Then please follow the instructions to reboot the modem.
 
For TD-W8960N, TD-W8920G, TD-W8910G:
Click on Wireless->Advanced on the left, change the Channel from Auto to a static one, such as 1, 6 or 11, and then Apply/Save.
 
For TD-W8961N, TD-W8961NB, TD-W8951ND, TD-W8951NB, TD-W8901G, TD-W8901GB, TD-W8101G,TD-W8151N:
Click on Interface Setup->Wireless at the top, change the Channel from Auto to a static one, such as 1, 6 or 11, and then click Save.
