Q1. What TP-Link product supports EasyMesh?

A. Refer to the TP-Link EasyMesh Compatible Devices

Note: Please be aware that certain models will require firmware updates to support EasyMesh

 

Q2. Can I use TP-Link EasyMesh products together with TP-Link OneMesh or Deco Mesh products?

A.  EasyMesh, OneMesh, and Deco Mesh are different technologies.  EasyMesh and OneMesh are available on select Archer-series routers, Range Extenders, and Powerline Adapters.  Deco Mesh is only available on Deco-series products.  OneMesh and EasyMesh may support cross-compatibility with each other. However, Deco will only work on Deco.

 

Q3. Does EasyMesh support Ethernet Backhaul?

A.  Ethernet backhaul currently has a limited availability.  Please refer to the EasyMesh compatibility page and filter to ‘Wired Backhaul’ for a list of devices that currently support it.

 

Q4. Can I use TP-Link EasyMesh devices with EasyMesh products from different manufacturers or companies?

A. Yes, EasyMesh is a standardized protocol cross-compatibility between manufacturers is available.

Note:  For the best experience, we recommend keeping your devices within a single manufacturer.

 

Q5. Which TP-Link product supports EasyMesh in AP mode?

A. Support for EasyMesh in AP mode is planned for routers, but will not be supported in Range Extenders. 

Note:  The Archer AX55 V1 currently supports EasyMesh in AP mode.

 

Q6. How do I add more than one EasyMesh Range Extender to my EasyMesh network?

A. You would follow the same process for each extender.  Press WPS on the Extender, Then press WPS on the Main router.  Wait for the Range Extender to connect and then repeat the process for the other range extenders

 

Q7. Can I configure the EasyMesh network with the Tether Application?

A. Yes, use the EasyMesh compatibility page and filter “via App” under the setup submenu to see which devices support app setup.

 

Q8. Can I use my own router which doesn't support EasyMesh as the main router?

A. No, the main router needs to support EasyMesh.

 

Q9. If I disable the EasyMesh function on the main router’s web mistakenly, can I turn it back on to recover the original EasyMesh connection?

A. It depends on the type of satellite devices. If the satellite device is a range extender, it can recover the EasyMesh connection automatically. But if the satellite device is a router, it cannot rejoin the EasyMesh network automatically.

 

Q10. Does the TP-Link EasyMesh system support syncing Guest or IoT Network settings across the main router and satellite nodes?

A. Currently, the TP-Link EasyMesh system does not synchronize the Guest network or IoT Network settings across the main router and the connected satellite nodes. The EasyMesh satellite nodes will only sync the main wireless network settings.
