Sydney, AUSTRALIA, 23 April 2024 – Network innovator TP-Link continues to deliver practical solutions designed that revolutionalise wireless connectivity with the announcement of their new ceiling-mount EAP773 and EAP783 Access Points that don’t just look good, they pack a powerful set of features to help boost business productivity.

Businesses that need an edge when it comes to Wi-Fi speed and reliability can now upgrade to TP-Link’s new Omada ceiling-mount access points with Wi-Fi 7. The EAP773 and EAP783 Access Points offer BE9300 and BE19000 speeds respectively, allowing businesses to add more devices and manage complex networks with TP-Link’s Centralised Cloud Management.

    Next-Generation Wi-Fi 7
Wi-Fi 7 is the swifter, smoother, and stronger new wireless standard, and supports an extended channel width of 320MHz on the 6GHz band. By combining 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz channels, the EAP773 offers up to 9214 megabits per second of bandwidth while the EAP783 has an incredible 18656 megabits1

This capability is supported via Multi-Link Operation (MLO)2 and Auto Channel Selection and Power Adjustment, for dependable performance in a range of wireless environments3. Depending on network configuration, the EAP773 can perform up to 620% faster than a Wi-Fi 6 access point, while the EAP783 is capable of a 1340% increase over the older standard4

Of course it’s not just about speed, it’s about being able to connect more devices and more flexibility for wireless network deployment.

    Clear 6GHz Band
By using the 6GHz band, Omada Wi-Fi 7 access points can bring wider band resources to your network. Devices running 2.4GHz and 5GHz, such as mobile phones and most existing laptops, can connect while leaving the 6GHz band free for priority devices or newer devices, depending on how you choose to deploy your network.

    10Gbps Ethernet Ports with POE
The EAP773 and EAP783 feature 10 gigabit per second ethernet ports (one for the EAP773 and two for the EAP783) to provide the high bandwidth backhaul that will let your network unlock the full potential of Wi-Fi 7, with the convenience of power-over-Ethernet (POE) for clean installs without unsightly wires.

    Centralised Cloud Management
Like all Omada and Omada Pro devices, the EAP773 and EAP783 integrate seamlessly into the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform, and TP-Link’s Centralised Cloud Management system5. This allows the network to be deployed and monitored either locally or via the cloud.

    Boosted Network Security
With security an ever-present concern, the EAP773 and EAP783 offer boosted network security features including up to 24 SSIDs for secure guest networks, captive portal SMS and voucher 802.1x authentication for authorised guests, and WPA3 for worry-free open public networks. It’s a powerful suite of security features that give you flexibility without sacrificing safety.

    Designed for Flexible Deployment
The EAP773 and EAP783 each come with a ceiling-mount kit. The EAP773 is just 220 x 32.5mm while the EAP783 is 280 x 46.5mm, so both devices can be installed almost anywhere and provide 200m2 of Wi-Fi 7 coverage.

    Pricing and Availability
The Omada EAP773 and EAP783 Access Points are available from TP-Link’s network of channel partners, including value-added resellers, solution providers and distributors.

TP-Link Omada products are supported by a 5-year warranty.

    Disclaimers

    1. Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. The 320 MHz bandwidth is only available on the 6 GHz band. Simultaneously, the 320 MHz bandwidth on the 6 GHz band and 160 MHz bandwidth on the 5 GHz band may be unavailable in some regions/countries due to regulatory restrictions. Double channel width and speed refer to 320 MHz compared to 160 MHz for WiFi 6 routers. Actual wireless data throughput, wireless coverage, and connected devices are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of internet service provider factors, network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors, including building materials, obstacles, volume and density of traffic, and client location.
    2. Use of Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), and features including Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 320 MHz Bandwidth, 6 GHz, 4K-QAM, Multi-RUs, OFDMA, MU-MIMO and BSS Color requires clients to also support the corresponding features.
    3. Auto Channel Selection and Power Adjustment require the use of Omada Cloud-Based Controller.
    4. The actual capacity depends on the wireless environment and client traffic and is generally less than the maximum number of client connections.
    5. Omada Mesh, AI Roaming, Captive Portal, and Cloud Access require the use of an Omada SDN controller.
