Setting up VLAN ID in Quick Setup on your wireless router
In Australia or New Zealand, some internet service providers require VLAN tagging for Internet connection. The following introduction will guide you through the VLAN configuration on your router.
During the Quick Setup:
After selecting the right Connection Type (take PPPoE as an example), enter your username and password, and then click the Special ISP Settings(IPTV/VLAN)
In the list, there are several pre-set ISP configuration files. Just select the profile for your ISP. Then click Next.
If your ISP is not listed, select Custom. We need to configure it manually. Before it we should consult the ISP for detailed info.
Step 1:
Enter the Internet VLAN ID supplied by your ISP in the ID box then select the appropriate Priority. For Vodafone NZ, Spark NZ, and 2 dgree customers, set the Internet VLAN ID to 10.
Step 2:
If VoIP service is supported, just set the VoIP VLAN ID and Priority according to your ISP’s suggestion.
If not, just set VoIP VLAN ID to a number different from Internet’s.
Step 3:
Similarly, if IPTV service is supported, just enable it and set the IPTV VLAN ID and Priority according to your ISP’s suggestion.
If not, do not tick this option or set it like Step 2.
Step 4:
If neither VoIP nor IPTV is supported, click Next.
Otherwise, change the LAN settings below as you need. Then click Next.
Don’t tick the IPTV Multicast VLAN option if you don’t know about it.
