Note: Only some wireless router models have Range Extender Mode. Here Archer A54_V1 as demonstration.

In Range Extender mode, this device can copy and reinforce the existing wireless signal to extend the coverage of the signal, especially for an ample space to eliminate signal-blind corners.

Follow the steps below. Archer A54_V1 is used for demonstration in this article.

1.Log into the management page. Please refer to: How do I log into the web-based Utility (Management Page) of the TP-Link wireless router?

2. Click Quick Setup on the left menu, select Range Extender as operation mode, then follow the step-by-step instructions of Quick Setup to complete the configuration.

Select Range extender mode in the Quick Setup process.

Note: When changing to range extender mode, some functions on the router, including Guest Network, parental control, forwarding, IP&MAC binding, Access Control, and security, will be unavailable.
