How to set up TP-Link Customized Whole Home Mesh System on the Aginet App
Note: Features available in Aginet App may vary by model and software version. All steps and images described here are only examples and may not reflect your actual experience.
Before you start
1. To ensure a seamless setup, please disable the Power-Saving mode on your phone.
2. For iOS versions 14 and higher, granting the Aginet App permission to access the local network is essential for completing the configuration (Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network).
Here, we take HX510, for example.
1. Go to Google Play or the App Store to install the Aginet app on your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet.
2. Open the Aginet app. Log in or sign up to set up a TP-Link ID. Or hit “Continue without TP-Link ID”.
Note: If you already have a TP-Link Cloud account, you can log in with your account.
3. Connect your phone to the mesh device’s default SSID printed on the bottom label (such as WIFI_XXXX).
Note: Some phones may connect to the default SSID automatically. The Aginet app will notify it found the device.
4. Choose the operation mode.
5. Enter the Device Password. During the initial login, you will need to set a Device Password. Some providers may have pre-configured the password as this is a customized product. If you are unaware of the device password, look for it on the bottom label of the device or reach out to your ISP.
6. Assign the router to a room. The location will be used as this router’s name.
7. Select the Connection Type provided by your Internet service provider. If your provider requires a VLAN ID, click on Advanced to enter it.
8. Create your Wi-Fi network name and password.
9. Connect your phone/tablet to the Wi-Fi you’ve created.
10. Setup complete. To add more units, press the "Add Agent" button and follow the App's guidance to complete the process.
To get to know more details of each function and configuration please go to Download Center to download the manual of your product.
