With the Matter protocol, Deco works as a central controller to manage your Matter-certified devices such as smart bulbs, plugs, and switches. It allows you to access the devices in your local area network (LAN) through the Deco app even when your home goes offline. Once configured, communication and control between Matter-certified devices can be achieved directly on the local network.

Follow the steps below to set up your Matter-certified device in the Deco app (iOS or Android). Here we take a Tapo smart plug as an example.

Note:

The steps may vary depending on your device's operation system. Here we take the Android system as an example.

1. Open Deco app and tap the Smart Home module.

2. Tap + > Add Smart Device.

3. Tap Matter.

4. Choose a way to pair your Matter device. You can scan the QR code on your Matter device or manually enter the Numeric Code.

5. Select a network to add this device.

6. Set the basic information of the added device, such as device name, icon and location.

7. Setup completed. Now you can manage your added Matter devices on Deco Smart Home.
