When utilizing the LTE Gateway Router, you might encounter a situation in which the SIM card works properly on your phone but not the router.

Since certain SIM cards allow mobile phones to connect to the internet but no other devices to share the network, we must establish whether the SIM card can function as a hotspot.

This article will show you how to test your SIM card using the hotspot function.

Note: You will need at least mobile devices to test the SIM card.

Step 1: Insert the SIM card into Mobile Device A.

Step 2: Go to Mobile Device A's Settings > Hotspot page, switch on the hotspot. You can also refer to the official guide for more detailed instructions:

For iOS: https://support.apple.com/111785

For Samsung: https://www.samsung.com/support/answer/ANS00079036/

Step 3: Go to Mobile Device B's Wi-Fi settings page, find and connect to Mobile Device A's hotspot, turn off Mobile Device B's mobile data (if any), check if Mobile Device B can access the internet properly.

Step 4: If Mobile Device B cannot access the Internet, contact the SIM card carrier to confirm the problem.
