What This Product Does
TL-WDR4900 is a performance optimized simultaneous dual band wireless N router combining the blazing fast speeds of up to 450Mbps over the crystal clear 5GHz band and the traditional 2.4GHz band. With 900Mbps of total bandwidth, CPU Clock Speeds of up to 800MHz, 3 external antennas serving the 5GHz band, and 3 internal antennas serving the 2.4GHz band, you can run multiple bandwidth intensive applications in a large home or office. Simple tasks like sending e-mails or web browsing can be handled by the 2.4GHz band while bandwidth intensive tasks like online gaming or HD video streaming can be processed by the 5GHz band– all at the same time.
Leading Performance – CPU Clock Speed up to 800MHz
The powerful CPU can process data much faster with speeds of up to 800MHz, the foundation that drives this router’s core performance. The 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi chips are built independently to reduce CPU space and efficiently transmit Wireless signals. The NAT switch chip offers a faster NAT conversion rate and improves data forwarding rate, with NAT WAN to LAN throughput of up to 900Mbps.
IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) Enabled
TL-WDR4900 supports IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6), the next generation of Internet protocol, helping you to future -proof your network.
Easy to Use
The Easy Setup Assistant found in the CD will help guide you through the setup process step by step. Whether you are looking to configure the wireless network or security options, it will be up and running in minutes. You may also setup the network security by simply pressing the "WPS" button. This automatically establishes a WPA2 secure connection and is more secure than WEP encryptions. Not only is WPA2 faster than normal security setup, you won’t have to remember a password.

† Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Range, coverage, and the maximum number of connected devices are based on test results under normal usage conditions. Actual wireless data throughput, wireless coverage, and number of connected devices are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of 1) environmental factors, including building materials, physical objects, and obstacles, 2) network conditions, including local interference, volume and density of traffic, product location, network complexity, and network overhead, and 3) client limitations, including rated performance, location, connection quality, and client condition.
Actual network speed may be limited by the rate of the product's Ethernet WAN or LAN port, the rate supported by the network cable, Internet service provider factors and other environmental conditions.
