Introduction

Like standard Software Controllers, the recommended maximum number of devices managed by a single Omada Pro Controller should not exceed 10,000. Please utilize a high-performance CPU and allocate sufficient memory to ensure optimal controller performance when managing devices.

It is also important to note that new features may require additional hardware resources with each Omada Pro Software Controller upgrade, so it is recommended that you leave some room for scalability.

Recommended Server Specifications

The following table provides recommended server specifications of Omada Pro Software Controller for different numbers of Omada devices being managed:

[2] Omada Pro SDN Controller is I/O-intensive, and the number of vCPUs is critical to performance.

[3] The recommended RAM for the Omada Pro SDN Controller and its MongoDB database includes only their own usage, excluding the memory required by the operating system. Note that the Windows OS may consume over 4GB of RAM, which must be factored into the total memory allocation.

[4] Only disk space occupied by Omada Pro SDN Controller and its MongoDB database is included, and SSD is highly recommended.
