How to configure VIGI wireless Camera in VIGI App

Objective
This article provides a guide on how to configure a VIGI wireless camera using the VIGI app.

Introduction
Before starting, ensure that the uninitialized wireless IP camera is connected to a power source. The camera can be added to the VIGI App by scanning the QR code and following the setup process below.
Configuration
Step 1. Open the VIGI App and log in with your TP-Link ID. If you do not have an account, sign up first.
Step 2. Tap the + button on the top right corner and scan the QR code on your camera.
Step 3. Power on the VIGI wireless camera, select wireless connection, and wait for about 45 seconds until the LED light flashes red and green. Click LED is flashing red and green and proceed to the next step.
Step 4. Enable location access on your phone. Go to your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and connect to the VIGI camera’s open network, VIGI_IPC_XXXX (XXXX is the last four digits of the VIGI camera’s MAC address). Wait for the VIGI App to detect the VIGI camera.
Step 5. Set a password to activate the device and enter your email address for password recovery. Select your time zone and name your VIGI camera.
Step 6. Scan the available 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks around. Select a network, enter the Wi-Fi password, and click Next. Make sure that the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.
Step 7. After clicking Next, the camera will report “Connecting to Wi-Fi” and the LED light will blink green slowly. Wait for the camera to confirm “Wi-Fi connected” and the LED light will turn solid green.
Step 8. The camera will sound “deng-deng”, indicating that the setup has been completed.
Verification
Return to the device list in the VIGI App and you can see that the camera has been successfully added.
