Background
Many users will use TP-Link Outdoor Access Points together with Ubiquiti (UBNT) access point. Some users may encounter problems when trying to connect the TP-Link Outdoor Access Points to the UBNT access point. Most of these problems are caused by mismatched settings. This FAQ aims to help you solve the incompatibility problems between TP-Link and UBNT.
What if my TP-Link Outdoor Access Points can see the SSID of UBNT access point but fail to connect?
UBNT AirOS has a feature called AirMAX, which is a proprietary protocol only compatible with Ubiquiti devices.

AirMAX is enabled by default in AP mode. So when you set up a UBNT access point, remember to disable the AirMAX function on it. Once AirMAX is disabled, TL-LINK Outdoor Access Points as well as other Wi-Fi devices can cooperate with the UBNT access point. Please also note that the throughput will decrease if AirMAX is disabled.
