What can I do if I forget the administrator password of my xDSL modem router?
If you have forgotten the administrator password of your xDSL modem router, here are 2 suggestions for you.
Method 1 Login via TP-Link ID
For modem routers bound to a TP-Link ID, you can use your TP-Link ID to log into the modem router.
Method 2 Reset the modem router
If the modem router is not bound to a TP-Link ID, the only way to access the modem router is to reset the router to factory default settings. After resetting, you can login again and set a new administrator password.
Note:
If you reset the device, the device will return to factory defaults, you will lose all your settings.
Step 1 With the Router powered on, directly press and hold the reset button with a pin for approximately 6 to 10 seconds, release the reset button and wait for the device to reboot automatically to its factory default settings.
Step 2 Follow the FAQ to log in to the Web Configuration page and create a new administrator password.
