No phone numbers are displayed for incoming calls or outgoing calls

Phenomenon

  • A phone that connects to the modem router does not display the caller's phone number for incoming calls, or the caller's phone number is only visible on the phone's display for a very short time.
  • A phone doesn't show which phone number the caller called.

Troubleshooting

Note:

Take the actions described here one at a time. After each action, check to see if the problem is resolved.

  • Upgrade the firmware of the modem router

Refer to the FAQ to update your modem router to the latest firmware.

  • Test different Analog or DECT phones

If only one phone has problem, please update the OS of the phone to the latest version or contact the phone support.

  • Test the phone with another modem router

To eliminate the phone problem, replace the TP-Link modem router with another modem router. If the problem happens with another modem router, the issue may be caused by the phone.

Carry out this suggestion only if you have another modem router.
