Lounea and TP-Link first to launch Wi-Fi 7 offer in Finland to complement Lounea’s 10Gbit fiber
Broadband speeds are evolving to multigigabit speeds and there has been a discrepancy between these ultrafast multigigabit broadband speeds and wireless home networking equipment as most end user equipment connects wirelessly to the Internet. As gigabit is becoming the new norm and forerunners are bracing 10Gbit ultrafast broadband, it is important to be able to provide the premium Wi-Fi to support these speeds. Wi-Fi 7 will fill this gap by enabling true multigigabit wireless capabilities.
“When we brought the ultrahigh speed 10Gbit service already in 2021 to the home customer markets, there really hasn’t been suitable technologies to utilize these speeds wirelessly. Now with Wi-Fi 7 this is finally becoming possible. Wi-Fi 7 will fill the wireless gap and bring true multi gigabit wireless service available everywhere at home. “, says Lounea CTO Riku Päärni
“To improve everyone’s online experience has always been a pursue of TP-Link. As the world's first vendor to release a full home and enterprise WiFi 7 solution, we’re proud to launch this offer together with Lounea. 4K/8K video, lag-free virtual meetings, massive stream of gaming, large number of smart home devices and so on, WiFi 7 brings us infinite imagination in different scenarios.”. Says Country Manager TP-Link Nordic Irving Mao.
What is new in Wi-Fi 7?
Wi-Fi 7 is 4.8× faster than Wi-Fi 6 and accelerates throughput up to 46 Gbps!
Wi-Fi 7 works across all three bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz) to fully utilize spectrum resources. While WiFi 6 was built in response to the growing number of devices in the world, WiFi 7's goal is to deliver astounding speeds for every device with greater efficiency. If you're struggling with constant buffering, lag, or congestion, a WiFi 7 router will be your best choice.
WiFi 7 introduces 320 MHz ultra-wide bandwidth use, 4096-QAM, Multi-RU, multi-link operation and increasing the number of spatial streams from 8 to 16, to provide speeds 4.8× faster than WiFi 6 to unlock more scenarios than ever before.
Thanks to backward compatibility, a WiFi 7 router opens your entire home to the latest online experiences. One-step forward, TP-Link has developed a technology (MLO+) to connect wireless and wired backhaul with each unit simultaneously.
“This new technology is ground-breaking and thrilling to be a part of the journey with Lounea”, notes Michael Svoldgaard from TP-Link Nordic.
“We are excited to launch these state-of-the-art Wi-Fi 7 products with TP-Link for our home customers in Finland to complement our ultrafast fiber broadband offering” says Päärni
