Auto WAN Port is enabled by default on your Deco. When enabled, it automatically divides and switches the WAN port according to the Ethernet cable connection of your Deco.

Sometimes it is recommended to keep it disabled and set up a fixed WAN port to ensure that wired clients can connect to the internet (for example when using the backup network).

Follow the steps below to set a fixed WAN port in the Deco app (iOS or Android).

Note:

  • Features may vary from different Deco models.
  • The steps may vary depending on your device's operation system. Here, we take the iOS system as an example.

1. Open Deco app, go to More > Advanced > WAN Port.

Locate the More and Advanced option on the page. Locate the WAN Port feature on the page.

2. Disable Auto WAN Port.

Display the Auto WAN Port button on the page.

3. Tap Change WAN Port and select the port you’ll use to connect to the internet.

Locate the Change WAN Port feature on the page. Port options to set a fixed WAN. Display the Confirm button at the bottom of the page.
