How to use USB port on TP-Link modem router
For a TP-Link modem router which has a USB port, you can connect memory devices to share USB storage or a 3G/4G modem to use the TP-Link modem router as a 3G/4G router.
Supported USB Device Classes
The TP-Link modem router supports USB devices of the following device classes:
- USB Storage device
- USB 3G/4G Modem (LTE / UMTS / HSPA)
- USB Hub
Note: If you use a USB hard drive, we recommend that you give priority to FAT32, NTFS or exFAT file systems. And please do not exceed 4TB per partition.
Number of USB Storage Devices Supported
When using a USB hub, you can connect up to four USB storage devices (excluding USB hubs) to the TP-Link modem router.
Supported USB Standards
At the TP-Link modem router, you can use USB devices that are subject to the following USB standards:
- USB 3.0
- USB 2.0
- USB 1.1

- Plug USB storage device to share resources.
How to access the USB Storage Device with AC VDSL/ADSL Modem Router (new logo)
- Plug USB storage device to store answering machine.
- Log in to the configuration page of the VoIP modem router. See FAQ "Accessing the configuration page".
Note:
Only certain VoIP DSL modem router supports this function.
- Go to Advanced->Telephony->Voice Mail, enable Expand Storage Capacity with USB Storage Device.
- Use DSL modem router as 3G/4G router.
