Geofencing is a location-based service that creates a virtual boundary around a specific geographic area. When a mobile device enters or exits this virtual boundary, it triggers a pre-defined action or event. Automate your life with Geofencing like “Turn off the power when you leave home”.

Set up for Geofencing:

1. Turn on location permission for Tapo/Kasa app:

Note: Tapo/Kasa needs you to allow "All the time location permission" to run the location-based Geofencing Smart Actions. If allowed, the app will receive location updates even when in the background.

2. Go to “Me” on the Tapo/Kasa app >”Tapo/Kasa Lab”> ”Geofencing” > ”Enable Geofencing”:
