Recently, we received feedback from a few users that they failed to log in to the router’s management page after online upgrading the new firmware for Archer A7v5 and that the Wi-Fi network name was also changed.

This is because that we added some new features for Archer A7v5, such as Wi-Fi QR code, and greatly improved the router’s performance. These modifications may influence the router’s original configuration in some situations, so some users may lose their original configuration and encounter the above problems.

If you encounter these issues, please reset your router:

1. Power on your Archer A7v5, and use a pin to press the reset button for about 8-10 seconds. Then, wait about 2 minutes until the router has completely restarted.

2. Use a device to connect to the router and log in to the router’s management page. You can refer to this FAQ: How do I log into the web-based Utility (Management Page) of TP-Link wireless router?

3. Now, you can begin to configure your Archer A7v5 follow Quick Setup and surf the Internet.

We sincerely apologize for causing this inconvenience to our customer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our technical support team at: TP-Link Technical Support.
