Objective

This article mainly introduces the configuration of the One-to-One NAT function the Omada Gateway in Controller mode.

Requirements

  • Omada Controller (Software Controller / Hardware Controller / Cloud-Based Controller, V5.8 and above)
  • Omada Gateway

Introduction

One-to-One NAT (Network Address Translation) creates a one-to-one mapping between a valid public IP address and a private IP address of a local host. It is mainly used when there are two or more available public IP addresses, and these public IP addresses should be used on the same WAN port.

Configuration

Step 1. Launch the Controller management page, and go to Settings > Wired Networks > Internet. Find the corresponding WAN port and click Edit to set its Connection Type to Static IP.

Note: One-to-One NAT only takes effect when the connection type of the corresponding WAN port is Static IP.

Step 2. Go to Settings > Transmission > NAT > One-to-One NAT. Click Create New Rule to add a One-to-One NAT rule. Select the WAN port you edited in the previous step for the Interface. Enable DMZ Forwarding if needed.

Note: If DMZ Forwarding is enabled, the packets transmitted to the translated IP address will be forwarded to the host with the original IP address.

Conclusion

Following the steps above, you can use the One-to-One NAT function on the Omada Gateway.
