What This Product Does
Omada Pro S6500-24G4XF is a high-performance L3 managed switch tailored for the access layer, featuring L3 routing, fast 10 Gbps wired speeds, stacking options, and redundant power supply modules. It includes 24× Gigabit RJ45 ports, 4× 10 Gbps SFP+ slots, physical stacking ability, and centralized management. Integrated with strong security, easy O&A, and extensive management features, S6500-24G4XF offers a dependable networking solution for SMBs, enterprises, and ISPs.
High-speed Connectivity and Powerful Stacking
24× Gigabit RJ45 ports and 4× 10 Gbps SFP+ slots provide up to 128 Gbps switching capacity per unit. Physical stacking of up to 12 units△ enhances network performance and redundancy.
Abundant Layer 3 Capabilities
Comes with abundant Layer 3 routing protocols that support a scalable network, such as OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, VRRP, PIM-SM/PIM-DM/PIM-SSM, ECMP, and PBR. In complex large-scale network environments, dynamic routing protocols automatically adapt to changes in network topology and select the best transmission path based on real-time network conditions to maintain stability.
Comprehensive Security Functions
Defend against a range of network threats with MACsec, Secure Boot, RADSEC, IMPB, SFTP, and 802.1X. MACsec works with the 802.1X protocol to ensure secure communication of all traffic on Ethernet links. Secure Boot protects the operating system from malicious attacks.
Highly Available
Internally fixed redundant power supplies and VRRP make it an ideal choice for reliable networking architecture. ERPS supports rapid protection and recovery in a ring topology, while BFD enables sub-second failure detection for rapid routing protocol rebalancing.
Easy Operation and Maintenance
The switch can be configured and managed based on the NETCONF protocol, reducing manual configuration errors and improving software upgrade efficiency. Configuration Rollback restores previous settings if errors occur. Hot patching technology allows software defects to be fixed without device restart, preventing business interruptions.
Omada Pro Integration
Integration into the Omada Pro system brings centralized cloud management and a series of management features, such as Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and Intelligent Anomaly Detection.† Omada Pro’s Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform integrates network devices, including access points, switches, and routers, providing 100% centralized cloud management. Omada Pro creates a highly scalable network—all controlled from a single interface.
Apart from central management via the web or Omada app, S6500-24G4XF can be managed through an intuitive web GUI or industry-standard CLI, both secured with SSL or SSH encryption. SNMP (v1/v2c/v3) and RMON support provide status polling and abnormal event notifications.
