How to use motion detection function

Motion detection allows you to specify areas of your camera’s video to monitor for motion, which can be used to trigger snapshots.

1. For example, connect NC200 and your computer to your router via Ethernet cable, and then check your NC200’s IP address from router’s DHCP client list.

2. Open a web browser and type NC200’s IP address into the address bar, type enter to visit the web management page.

3. Input the username and password (the default username and password are both admin). Then log in to the management interface of NC200.

5. Enable motion detection, and select the part of the screen where you would like to activate motion detection. You can set its sensitivity as low/medium/high. After that, please click “save” button.

Note: The area with blue mask indicates that it is the area with motion detection on

6. Select Advanced —> Notification Delivery. You can choose FTP or/and E-mail, which means monitoring screenshots will be sent to your FTP server or your Email once motion detection is triggered.

a) FTP

(1)Input your FTP server’s IP address and your FTP server’s Username & Password. Normally, no need to change the FTP server’s port and its default value is 21.

(2)The default value of Path is “/”. Normally you don’t need to change it. In this way, the monitoring screenshots will be stored into a folder name based on time in your FTP server.

(1)Input the Recipient E-mail Address, and you can also add more recipient E-mail via clicking “Add recipient” button.

(2)Now input the sender E-mail address, and input the Password & SMTP Server/Port of the sender E-mail. If your sender E-mail is SSL Encryption enabled, you also need to enable SSL Encryption and change the Port.

(3)Unlike FTP, you can set the Sending Interval to send E-mail, which means the monitoring screenshots will be sent to your Recipient E-mail as per interval time once motion detection is triggered. This will avoid sending e-mail too frequently to your recipient e-mail box.
