This Article Applies to:

Since the powerline adapter works in the same frequency as the DSL telephone line when they are too close to each other, there could be interference between them, and as a result, the DSL modem router could lose internet connection frequently. For series 8 and series 9 Powerline adapters, like TL-WPA8XXX or TL-PA9XXX, we can try enabling the Lower PLC-to-VDSL Interference Mode and see if the issue could be fixed. For more information, please refer to the FAQ

If the issue persists after enabling the Lower PLC-to-VDSL Interference Mode, or if the issue happens to other series powerline adapters than series 8 and series 9, please try the following troubleshooting methods:

Confirm whether the VDSL telephone line is rolled into a ball or circle because it is too long. If so, please cut the phone line short and straighten it. It has been confirmed that under the same condition when the telephone line is rolled up, the interference received by the VDSL telephone line is much higher than when it is straightened, which is likely to cause frequent internet drops.

If the issue still persists with the troubleshooting above, please contact our technical support.
