TP-Link Expands Business Networking Product Line – Omada, with New Ultra-Performance AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Ceiling Mount Access Point and Weatherproof IP67 Wi-Fi 6 Outdoor Access Point

IRVINE, CA, June 1, 2022 – TP-Link, a leading global provider of consumer and business networking products, today announced the expansion of its Omada Business Networking product line with the release of two new feature-rich Wi-Fi 6 access points. The Omada EAP610-Outdoor AX1800 WiFi 6 Access Point is the brand’s first Wi-Fi 6 outdoor access point, being introduced alongside the new high-performance Omada EAP670 AX5400 Ceiling Mount WiFi 6 Access Point, which features a 160 MHz channel for increased throughput.

Both Omada access points will offer advanced standard features ensuring peak performance including mesh technology, seamless roaming, band steering and airtime fairness, available at a compelling sub-$150 price-point and are specifically designed for small and medium businesses.

Omada EAP670 AX5400 Ceiling Mount WiFi 6 Access Point

The new Omada EAP670 expands upon existing Wi-Fi 6 ceiling mount offerings with a 160 MHz channel (vs. the 80 MHz of a standard Wi-Fi 6 access point), providing double the data at peak transmission. The EAP670 provides exceptional speeds of simultaneous 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 4804 Mbps on 5 GHz for a total 5378 Mbps WiFi speeds.* The 2.5G port makes the EAP670 the perfect addition to a multi-gigabit network and enables users to unlock the full potential of Wi-Fi 6. The EAP670 can be PoE powered (802.3at) for flexible and easy deployment or by the included 12V DC adapter.

Omada EAP610-Outdoor AX1800 WiFi 6 Access Point

The Omada EAP610-Outdoor features superb weatherproofing with its IP67 rating, wide-temperature operating range (-22°F - 158 °F) and 6KV of lightning protection, suited for the harshest of outdoor climates. The EAP610-Outdoor offers fast 1.8 Gbps Wi-Fi 6 speeds*, long range transmission (800+ Ft. radius) from the dual-antenna design and high-power amplifier and enhanced security features to safeguard user networks. Powered by 48V/0.5A Passive PoE (PoE adapter included) or 802.3af PoE, and with a simple mounting design, this access point is convenient to deploy. With mesh technology, the EAP610-Outdoor can provide complete coverage of large outdoor areas with ease.
