Cleaning robots, due to their functional design and operational characteristics, may produce various sounds during their working process. While some noises are considered normal, unusual sounds may indicate potential issues with the device. This guide provides steps to identify and resolve abnormal noise problems during cleaning.

Due to its functional design and operational characteristics, a robotic vacuum cleaner may produce some sounds during its working process. The following sounds are considered normal during the device's regular operation:

1. Noise generated by the vacuum function during sweeping, which can be controlled by adjusting vacuum power levels.

2. Periodic water pump operation sounds during mopping.

3. Increased vacuum noise on carpets due to enhanced settings for carpet cleaning.

If you notice abnormal noises after the robotic vacuum has been in operation for a period, it is recommended to check whether all the device's components are functioning properly.

Clean & Maintain the components of the robot vacuum

Firstly, it is suggested to clean the relevant cleaning modules of the robotic vacuum. If certain parts are obstructed by foreign objects, it may lead to abnormal noises. Ensure that the robotic vacuum is turned off before cleaning (Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn on/off the robot vacuum).

1. Remove the dustbin and empty it.

Refer to the FAQ specific to your model for guidance on emptying the dustbin:

2. Clean the main brush and the side brush of the robot vacuum.

Remove the main brush and Main Brush Cover Latch, clean any hair or debris wrapped around them.

Check the installation position of the brushes for any foreign objects and clean accordingly. To check if the side brush is entangled, manually rotate it to ensure smooth movement. If necessary, completely remove the side brush for thorough cleaning.

Refer to the FAQs specific to your model for cleaning the main brush and side brush.

3. Clean the Caster Wheel and Main Wheels of the robot vacuum.

Check for any foreign objects or hair entanglement in the gaps of the wheels. Use a clean, dry cloth to clean the wheels.

If necessary, completely remove the Caster Wheel for thorough cleaning. Manually rotate the wheels to ensure they can rotate smoothly.

Refer to the FAQs specific to your model for cleaning the caster wheel and main wheels.

If the above cleaning steps do not resolve the abnormal noise issue, attempt to identify the location where the noise occurs for subsequent maintenance or replacement. Try the following steps:

  1. Investigate whether the internal vacuum fan is causing the abnormal noise by adjusting vacuum power levels.

For models that support mopping, try turning off vacuum power in the app (mop-only mode) to check for persistent noise.

  1. Check if there is abnormal noise from the main brush by removing it and the cover latch, then start the robotic vacuum for cleaning and observe whether the abnormal noise persists.

If you are unable to resolve the abnormal noise issue on your own, please collect the following information and contact technical support:

1. Photos of the location where the noise occurs. If you cannot identify the location of the noise, please take pictures of various components, including the main brush, side brush, and caster wheel.

2. A video capturing the occurrence of the abnormal noise during operation.

3. The device's S/N code, which can be found on the product packaging or label.
