Samsung S10 series phone can’t reach full upload speed after updating Android 10 OS
Recently, some customers using Samsung S10 series phone can’t reach full upload speed after updating Android 10 firmware, but the download speed is normal. After analyzing the network performance reported by these customers and doing some tests in our lab, we speculate that this issue would be related to the wireless security type and encryption mode. Meanwhile, we are still trying our best to find out the specific reasons. If you have the same problem, please solve this problem by changing some settings as instructions below.
Step 1: Log into your TP-Link router by referring to How do I log into the web-based Utility (Management Page) of TP-Link wireless router?
Step 2: Click Advanced –> Wireless –> Wireless settings –> 5GHz to change Version to WPA2-PSK and Encryption to AES.
Step 3: Test the upload speed on your Samsung S10 series phone and check whether this issue is solved.
Contact TP-Link technical support if your concern is still there with the following information.
1). The whole bandwidth provided by ISP.
2). The actual download speed for 5G on your Samsung S10 series phone.
3). The screenshot of wireless settings for 5G on TP-Link router.
