The ECO mode is an energy-saving feature for Deco. It includes Power Mode, Wi-Fi Schedule, and LED Control.

Note:

  1. Please ensure that You are using the latest version of the Deco App to use ECO mode.
  2. Currently, the Deco M4 V1 & V2 support the ECO Mode feature from the latest firmware. Other Deco models will support this feature via a future firmware update.
  3. If your Deco Network Includes a Deco model that does not currently support ECO mode, the ECO Mode Features will disappear from the Deco App.
  4. ECO Mode is Disabled by default; you can find the toggle to enable ECO Mode under More > ECO Mode

Part 1: Power Mode

The Power Mode determines the Power Consumption of the Deco Devices while they are working. There are three modes that work together with the Mode Schedule Feature.

Normal Mode: The Normal Power Stat of a Deco model. Wi-Fi Performance will not be affected.

Power-Saving Mode: Lowers the Power of your Deco to Reduce Power Consumption. This will slightly reduce our network speed.

Ultra Power-Saving Mode: Lowers the power of your Deco to reduce power consumption to a minimum while maintaining a network connection. Your Network Speed will reach the lowest speed allowable by your device.

Mode Schedule: You may Set the Power Mode to “Always On” or “Only On During a Time Period”.

If you select a power mode to take effect during a specific time period, the power mode will be set to “Normal Mode” for the rest of the time.

Part 2: Wi-Fi Schedule

Wi-Fi Schedule: Turns off your Deco’s Wi-Fi when you don’t need to use the internet.

After enabling the Wi-Fi Off Time, your Deco’s Wi-Fi will be turned off during the time period you have set. This will cause your wireless clients to disconnect from the deco network. Only the wired Deco Units (established using an Ethernet Backhaul to the Main Deco), and the wired devices attached to them will not be affected.

If “Keep 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is enabled, the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi will remain on, but other wi-fi bands will be turned off. In this situation, the Deco Units are working, but will only be able to use ethernet backhaul and the 2.4Ghz Band.

Note:

  1. During the Wi-Fi Off Time, all of the Deco’s Wi-Fi networks will be turned off, no matter the type: Host Wi-Fi, Guest Wi-Fi, and IoT Wi-Fi Networks will all be disabled. While these networks are disabled due to Off Time, the settings of the wireless networks cannot be changed.
  2. If “Keep 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi On” is enabled, you may still modify the settings of the Deco network.
  3. To enable the Wi-Fi during the Off Time Period, you may disable the off time from the Deco app directly. If you are unable to modify the setting through the Deco App, restarting all the Deco Nodes in your network, both satellite and main, will allow you to connect to your Deco’s Wi-Fi network.

Part 3: LED Control

The Toggle for LED Control allows you to choose whether you would like the Deco’s LED indicator to be on or off.

With the “LED Off Time” Switch, you can schedule the Deco LED light to turn off at night while you sleep, so it doesn’t disturb your rest. Neither the LED switch nor the LED Off Time settings will have an effect on the Deco’s Wi-Fi networks.
