How to setup TP-Link Wi-Fi Router on web management page
One of the most common methods of setting up your home’s Wi-Fi router is by using its web management page. In the example below, we use an Archer AX55 for demonstration purposes.
Step 1
Connect an Ethernet cable between your modem and the router’s WAN port from the modem (as shown in Example 1) or the Ethernet port on the wall (Example 2).

Accessing the web management page of the router
Open a web browser, then type http://tplinkwifi.net in the address bar. It is recommended to use Firefox, Chrome, or Edge web browsers for this process.

Select your time zone
Step 4
Select your Internet connection type. Common connection types include PPPoE, Dynamic IP, and Static IP. If you do not know your Internet connection type, you can confirm this by contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
If the connection type is Dynamic IP, please select the appropriate option and click Next.
If your connection type is PPPoE, enter the username and password provided by your ISP, then click Next to finish the Quick Setup.
If your ISP requires a VLAN ID for Internet connectivity, please obtain the VLAN ID from your ISP and enter it using the following steps:
- Click Special ISP Settings (IPTV/VLAN)
- Select Custom if your ISP is not on the list.
- Type the VLAN ID provided by your ISP.
- Check 802.1Q Tag and leave the priority at the default setting.
- Choose Internet for all the LAN ports.
- Do not change other settings, unless specifically instructed by your ISP, and click Next to apply the settings.
Step 5
Select the MAC address of your Router. If you are unsure, simply choose Use Default MAC Address.
Step 6
Customize the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wireless Network names (SSIDs) of the wireless router.
Step 7
Wait while the router tests the Internet connection.
Step 8
Configure the Update Time you would prefer. If you do not want to set a specific time, you can simply select Not now to skip this step.
Step 9
Done! You can are now ready to enjoy reliable Internet connectivity through your TP-Link Wi-Fi router.
