TP-Link Debuts New Family of SOHO and Mobile Networking Solutions at CES
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 7, 2013) - TP-Link, a global provider of networking products, will debut at the 2013 International CES a comprehensive family of wireless small office, home and mobile connectivity products designed to strengthen the company’s leadership in WLAN and Broadband CPE devices.
Flagship AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router
Heading off the CES announcements is TP-Link’s flagship 802.11ac AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (TL-WDR7500), which provides 1750Mbps wireless speeds (3 times faster than 802.11n), simultaneous dual band, Gigabit ports, and dual USB sharing ports. TL-WDR7500 is compatible with next generation Wi-Fi devices and backward compatible with 802.11b/g/n devices.
The router’s built-in media server allows users to play music, video and view photos with Windows media player, PS3® or X-Box 360®. Estimated product availability is Q2 2013.
Mini Pocket Router Offers 300Mbps Wireless Networking on the Road
TP-Link’s new 300Mbps Wireless N Mini Pocket Router (TL-WR810N) with detachable adapter and USB sharing is the ideal networking device for mobile users.
The USB port allows users to charge smartphones or tablet PCs, or use it as a miniature server to share files or media on a connected USB flash or hard disk with connected users within the local network. Estimated product availability is Q2 2013.
Tiny Powerline Adapters Offer Impressive Speeds
TP-Link’s new AV200 (TL-PA2010KIT) and AV500 (TL-PA4010KIT) Nano Powerline Starter Kits offer 200/500Mbps data transfer rates in a miniature shell to power several bandwidth intensive or latency-sensitive tasks at the same time over distances up to 300 meters.
Transferring data over existing in-home electrical wiring also ensures that connections are perfect for home media centers with multiple devices transferring data such as HD or even 3D video, music and online games simultaneously. Products available in January 2013.
11ac and Media Adapters Upgrade PCs and Laptops, Make Wired Devices Wireless
For users who need an easy upgrade or want to convert Ethernet-powered devices into wireless, TP-Link will debut several solutions, which ensure high-quality connections for bandwidth-intensive applications such as HD video streaming, online gaming and connecting wirelessly with Internet-enabled TVs, Set-top boxes, or game consoles.
TP-Link’s AC600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter (TL-WDN5200) will allow users to take full advantage of the 802.11ac standard on their PCs or laptops with up to 433Mbps over the 5GHz band and 150Mbps over the 2.4GHz band. Estimated product availability is Q2 2013.
The TP-Link N600 Universal Wireless Dual Band Entertainment Adapter (TL-WA3164EA) can convert your home’s Internet-enabled devices to wireless. Estimated product availability is Q2 2013.
Wall Socket Mounted Range Extender Expands Wireless Networks
The TL-WA850RE is a power socket-mounted wireless N range extender that eliminates dead zones. This sleek new device extends the coverage and improves the signal of existing wireless networks in large areas such as homes, hotels or small offices, with no new wires or cables. Estimated product availability is Q2 2013.
Also in the family are TP-Link’s new 300Mbps AV200 (TL-WPA2220) and AV500 (TL-WPA4220) Wireless N Powerline Extenders, which allow users to extend a network connection to every room within a home’s electrical circuitry up to 300 meters at 802.11n wireless speeds for bandwidth intensive or latency sensitive applications like video streaming, online gaming and Internet calls. Both devices use the latest in Hy-Fi technology, automatically cloning wireless security profiles, to provide seamless home or office-wide roaming coverage. Estimated product availability is Q2 013.
Performance Meets Design With “Pebble” 3G Router and “Halo” Router
TP-Link will also show a pair of routers that combine form with function. Both were International CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honorees.
TP-Link’s MR5350 Pebble is a portable 3G router. It supports WCDMA HSPA+ up to 21Mbps with 3G SIM card inserted; has a long-life 2000mAh battery with average 6-hour run time, and features 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi in a very small body resembling a pebble. It also features a micro SD card slot to accommodate up to 32GB of flash memory and micro USB port, which can be used with an external power adapter or USB port to charge the device. Estimated product availability is Q1 2013.
The TP-Link Halo TL-WR706N shrinks the size of a traditional wireless router to a tiny, cylindrical wall-socket mounted device. With its 802.11n wireless card that supports speeds of up to 150Mbps, internal antenna, and built-in power adapter, the Halo excels in both form and function. Estimated product availability is Q2 2013.
All new TP-Link products will be shown at CES from January 8-11, 2013 Las Vegas Convention Center South Hall 4-Upper Level, Booth 36212
