How to enable TP-Link Skill in the Alexa app

With the TP-Link Skill for Alexa, you can now manage your Smart Home devices connected to Deco M6 Smart Whole-Home Wi-Fi System.

To use TP-Link Skill, you must have:

  • A TP-Link Deco M6 Smart Whole-Home Wi-Fi System.
  • A TP-Link ID bound to the Wi-Fi System. No TP-Link ID?
  • A mobile device with the Alexa app installed.
  • An AVS(Alexa Voice Service) enabled device such as an Amazon Echo, Amazon Tap or Echo Dot.
  • Smart devices connected to Deco M6’s network, such as lights, plugs, switches, locks and thermostats.

Note: This feature is currently only supported in the United States.

Step 1.

Open the Alexa app on your mobile device and sign in with your Amazon.com account.

Step 2.

Tap the “” button, and then select “Skills”.

Step 3.

Search for “tplink”, and then tap “TP-Link”.

Note:

1. “TP-Link” Skill is different from “TP-Link Router” and “TP-Link Kasa” Skill. Please CHOOSE “TP-Link” Skill.

2. This feature is currently only supported in the United States.

Step 4.

Tap “Enable”.

Step 5.

Log in with your TP-Link ID, and then tap “Authorize”.

Your TP-Link ID is now linked to Alexa. Enjoy using Alexa voice commands to manage your smart devices.
