What is TP-Link Skill for Alexa?

TP-Link Skill is a Smart Home Skill for Amazon Alexa, developed for TP-Link products such as Deco M6. With TP-Link Skill, you can manage your smart home devices easily by simple voice commands.

Currently you can use TP-Link Skill to control many smart home devices such as smart bulb, thermostats, smart door lock, smart plug etc. Please click here to see if your smart devices are supported by TP-Link Skill. Moreover, you can also set up s shortcut for Alexa in the Deco APP, then trigger the shortcut by saying, for exmple, “Alexa, turn on Good Morning”.

How do I use TP-Link Skill?

Smart Bulb

non-dimmable

“Alexa, turn on My Bedroom's lights”.

dimmable

“Alexa, set the brightness Downstairs to 60 percent”, or “Alexa, dim the Living Room lights”.

color

“Alexa, set the bedroom light to orange”.

tunable

"Alexa, set the kitchen light to cool white",

or "Alexa, make the living room light warmer".

Thermostats

"Alexa, set my dining room temperature to 68",

or "Alexa, what's the bedroom temperature?"

Door Lock

"Alexa, is the front door locked?",

or "Alexa, lock the back door".

Please note that you cannot unlock locks via the TP-Link Skill for Alexa.

Smart Plug/Switch

"Alexa, turn on the Coffee Machine".

Shortcut

"Alexa, turn on Good Morning".
